Dr. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with Bachelors of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Psychology. She received dual Doctor of Optometry and Master of Science degrees from the New England College of Optometry in 2016. Her education included externships at the VA Medical Centers in West Haven, Connecticut and Providence, Rhode Island, Boston Medical Center, the Wenzhou Medical College in China, and DotHouse Health in Dorchester, Massachusetts. In 2015, the National Board of Examiners in Optometry awarded Dr. He with a Certificate of Commendation for the highest score received from the institution on Part I of her national board exam.
After receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree, Dr. He completed a post-doctorate residency program at the VA Medical Center in Jamaica Plain, Boston, specializing in Primary Eye Care and Ocular Disease. She expanded her skills in diagnosing and managing patients with complex ocular diseases and worked alongside field experts in diverse external rotation sites including the Retina service at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. During her training, Dr. He also gave Continuing Education lectures to optometrists in the community as well as a talk at the American Academy of Optometry Annual Meeting in 2016.
Dr. He provides comprehensive eye care with a special interest in ocular diseases including glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages. Dr. He is new to the Upper Valley and looks forward to accepting new and current patients!
Dr. He enjoys outdoor activities (running, kayaking, swimming, beaching, snowboarding), playing the piano, eating, and cooking. She is always up for trying new restaurants, so feel free to give her recommendations!
